Story of the hour

Story of the hour is an ironic tale because of the preconceived notion of how Mrs. Mallard was going to react to the news? The story is somewhat of a paradox and quite too ironical. It describes how the news of her husband death would be broken due to her ailing heart. The careful pain it took for them to deliver the news from the obvious grief they all assumed she would feel make the paradox even more amusing.
